Embraer E-Jet Family
Embraer

Details
The Embraer E-Jet family is a series of narrow-body short- to medium-range twin-engine jet airliners developed by Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer. Introduced in the early 2000s as the successor to the ERJ family, the E-Jets feature modern technology including fly-by-wire controls, advanced avionics, and significantly improved passenger comfort. The original family consists of four main variants in two size categories: the smaller E170 (70-80 seats) and E175 (78-88 seats), and the larger E190 (98-114 seats) and E195 (108-124 seats). Unlike the rear-mounted engines of the ERJ series, E-Jets feature underwing-mounted engines (GE CF34-8E for E170/E175, and CF34-10E for E190/E195). The E170/E175 share 95% commonality, as do the E190/E195, with 89% commonality between the two sub-families. The E-Jet family has been highly successful with over 1,900 aircraft delivered worldwide. A second-generation E2 family (E175-E2, E190-E2, E195-E2) featuring more efficient engines and improved aerodynamics entered service in 2018.
