Embraer E170
Embraer

About
The Embraer E170 is the smallest member of the E-Jet family, typically seating 70-80 passengers. First flown in 2002 and entering service in 2004 with LOT Polish Airlines, the E170 was designed as a modern replacement for older 70-seat regional jets and turboprops. The aircraft features two General Electric CF34-8E turbofan engines mounted under the wings, fly-by-wire flight controls, and a wider cabin than competing regional jets. Available in three range variants: STD (standard), LR (long range), and AR (advanced range), with the AR version offering up to 3,889 km range. The E170 shares 95% commonality with its stretched sibling, the E175. Known for its passenger comfort with 2-2 seating configuration and large overhead bins, the E170 proved popular with regional airlines seeking to offer mainline-quality service. Production of the E170 ended in 2018 as focus shifted to the larger variants and E2 series.
