About
The Embraer E175 is a stretched variant of the E170, typically seating 78-88 passengers, and has become the best-selling member of the E-Jet family. First flown in 2004 and entering service in 2005, the E175 features a fuselage stretched by 1.78 meters compared to the E170. Powered by two General Electric CF34-8E turbofan engines, the E175 offers excellent range (up to 3,706 km for the AR variant) and passenger comfort with its 2-2 seating configuration. The aircraft has proven particularly popular with U.S. regional airlines operating for major carriers, as it fits within scope clause restrictions while maximizing capacity. Available in STD, LR, and AR range variants. The E175 is the only original E-Jet variant still in production as of 2024, with strong continued demand. Shares 95% parts commonality with the E170, reducing training and maintenance costs. Known for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and superior passenger experience compared to older 70-80 seat regional jets.
