Bombardier Aerospace

Details
The Bombardier CRJ-100 Series is a family of 50-seat regional jets developed from the Canadair Challenger business jet. Introduced in 1992, the CRJ-100 was the first of the successful CRJ family and revolutionized regional air travel by offering jet performance on short-haul routes previously served by turboprops. The series includes the original CRJ-100, the improved CRJ-200 with better performance and range, and the CRJ-440, a 44-seat variant created for scope clause restrictions in the U.S. market. Known for reliability and economic operation, the CRJ-100 Series established Bombardier as a major player in the regional jet market. Production ended in 2006 with 1,021 aircraft delivered across all variants.
