About
The Bombardier CRJ-200 is an improved development of the CRJ-100, entering service in 1995. It features upgraded CF34-3B1 engines, improved performance, and optional long-range capability (CRJ-200LR variant with increased fuel capacity). The CRJ-200 became the most successful variant of the CRJ-100 Series with 709 aircraft delivered, making it one of the most popular 50-seat regional jets ever built. It offers better range and operational flexibility compared to the CRJ-100, and has served with numerous airlines worldwide, particularly regional carriers in North America. Many CRJ-200s remain in active service as of 2024.
