Airbus SAS

The Airbus A330neo (new engine option) is a re-engined and updated version of the original A330, launched in July 2014. Featuring exclusive Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, new winglets (sharklets), and aerodynamic improvements, the A330neo delivers 14% better fuel efficiency per seat than the previous generation A330ceo. The family consists of two variants: the A330-800 and A330-900, which entered service with TAP Air Portugal in December 2018. As of 2025, 470 A330neo aircraft have been ordered and 177 delivered, offering airlines a cost-effective alternative to newer composite aircraft while maintaining commonality with existing A330 fleets.
