Details

The Pilatus PC-12 is the single-engined turboprop that made unpressurised twins look unnecessary: nine passengers, a cargo door big enough for a pallet, and a wing certified to work off grass. It is the best-selling aircraft of its class and the type certificate runs to five models, from the original 4,100 kg PC-12 to the 4,740 kg PC-12/47G on a PT6E-67XP. The cruise speed, range, ceiling, climb rate and take-off distance are EUROCONTROL's figures for the PC12 type code rather than a certificate's: a type certificate states limits and weights, not cruise performance, and the source does not distinguish sub-variants.
