Dornier 328
Dornier/Fairchild Dornier

Details
The Dornier 328 is a high-speed, short-range commuter turboprop airliner in the 30-seat class. Developed by Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH (later Fairchild Dornier), it first flew in 1991 and entered service in 1993. The Do 328 was designed as a modern successor to smaller regional aircraft, featuring a distinctive T-tail, high-wing configuration, and advanced six-bladed propellers. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW119 turboprops, it offered cruise speeds competitive with regional jets while maintaining turboprop fuel efficiency. The aircraft featured modern avionics and was certified for single-pilot operation. The Do 328 served with regional airlines and corporate operators worldwide, known for its reliability and performance in demanding conditions. Production included three main variants: the baseline 328-100, the enhanced 328-110 with greater range, and the 328-120/130 with improved short-field performance.
