About

The 340B is the SF340A with CT7-9B engines a hundred kilowatts stronger, a bigger tailplane and 675 kg more take-off weight, at 13,605 kg. The later ones carry extended wing tips that take the span from 21.44 m to 22.75 m for better hot-and-high performance. Same 37 seats, same 19.73 m fuselage — the difference is all in what it can lift out of a short runway on a warm day.
