Ilyushin IL-114-300

The Ilyushin IL-114-300 is the modernized production variant of the IL-114 regional turboprop featuring all-Russian components and systems. Developed in the 2020s as Russia pursued import substitution, the IL-114-300 is powered by domestically-produced Klimov TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engines certified in December 2022, which offer increased takeoff power and improved performance over their Western counterparts. The aircraft features a new digital flight and navigation system, increased use of composite materials, and modern avionics. With capacity for 66 passengers (52-68 depending on configuration), the IL-114-300 offers improved performance including better takeoff and landing distances (730m takeoff, 440m landing with reverse thrust) compared to the IL-114-100. Official specifications announced in July 2025 cite maximum takeoff weight of 23.5 tons, commercial load up to 6 tons, cruising speed of 450-500 km/h, and ferry range of 5,200 km. The aircraft demonstrates 16% lower fuel consumption than the competing ATR 72-600. Certification was completed by January 2026, with preliminary orders from operators including Flamingo Aerospace. The IL-114-300 represents a modern Russian regional turboprop solution for domestic and CIS markets.
