About
The Ilyushin IL-114-100 is the original production variant of the IL-114 regional turboprop airliner. First flown on January 26, 1999, the IL-114-100 features Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127H turboprop engines, Hamilton Sundstrand propellers, and Western avionics from suppliers including Thales and Rockwell Collins. This variant was developed to appeal to international markets with proven Western powerplants and systems. Seating 64 passengers in a typical single-class configuration, the IL-114-100 offers good fuel efficiency and range of up to 5,100 km, making it suitable for regional routes. The cabin width of 2.28 meters provides comfortable passenger accommodation. The aircraft entered service with Uzbekistan Airways and demonstrated reliable operation on regional routes. However, limited production meant only a small number of IL-114-100 aircraft were built before focus shifted to the domestically-powered IL-114-300 variant.
