Fokker 50
Fokker

Details
The Fokker 50 is a twin-engine turboprop regional airliner developed by Fokker as an updated and improved version of the successful Fokker F27 Friendship. Introduced in 1987, the Fokker 50 features upgraded Pratt & Whitney Canada PW125B engines with six-bladed propellers, modernized avionics, improved cabin comfort, and enhanced performance. Seating 50-58 passengers, the aircraft was designed for short-haul regional routes with excellent fuel efficiency and reliability. The Fokker 50 inherited the F27's reputation for robustness and STOL capabilities while offering better cruise performance and lower operating costs. Production ended in 1997 when Fokker went bankrupt, with 213 aircraft delivered worldwide.
