About
The DC-6B is the passenger version of the stretched DC-6 airframe and the one pilots and operators remembered best — reliable, economical, and the last piston airliner Douglas got entirely right before the jets. It shares the DC-6A's 48,534 kg take-off weight and 32.19 m fuselage and differs in what is inside: seats and windows instead of cargo doors.
