About
The first DC-6, which Boeing's sheet tabulates as the DC-6 Domestic. It takes off at 43,182 kg — twelve tonnes under the DC-6A and B that followed — on a 30.66 m fuselage, five metres shorter than theirs. It is a pressurised DC-4 rather than a new aeroplane, and it is where the line that ended with the DC-7C begins.
