De Havilland Canada DHC-8-400 Dash 8
Bombardier Aerospace

About
The DHC-8-400, also known as the Dash 8 Q400, is the largest and most advanced member of the Dash 8 family. Introduced in 1999, it features a significantly stretched fuselage seating 68-90 passengers and powerful PW150A turboprop engines generating 5,071 shp. The Q400 combines jet-like cruise speeds of 360 knots with turboprop fuel efficiency, making it highly competitive with regional jets. It features advanced Active Noise and Vibration Suppression (ANVS) technology, giving it the quietest cabin in its class. The Q400 has become the best-selling Dash 8 variant with over 585 aircraft delivered. After Bombardier discontinued production in 2022, De Havilland Canada announced plans to restart production in Alberta by 2025.
