About
The DHC-8-300, also known as the Dash 8 Q300, is a stretched variant of the Series 200 designed to seat 50-56 passengers. Introduced in 1989, it features a 3.43-meter fuselage extension and more powerful PW123 engines rated at 2,380 shp. The Q300 offers improved economics per seat while maintaining excellent short-field performance. It features an increased wingspan and enhanced range capabilities, making it popular for regional routes. The variant incorporates the "Q" noise suppression system and modern avionics. Known for its reliability and passenger comfort, the Q300 became one of the most successful members of the Dash 8 family. Production ended in 2009 after 267 aircraft were delivered.
