Bombardier Aerospace

About
The DHC-8-200, also known as the Dash 8 Q200, is an enhanced variant of the Series 100 with more powerful engines. Introduced in 1995, it features upgraded Pratt & Whitney Canada PW123 engines rated at 2,150 shp, providing improved performance and payload capacity while maintaining the same airframe. Seating 37-39 passengers, the Q200 offers better hot-and-high performance and increased range compared to the Series 100. The variant incorporates the noise suppression system and improved avionics. Popular with regional airlines for short-haul routes, the Q200 provided an economical upgrade path for Series 100 operators. Production ended in 2009 after 104 units were delivered.
