De Havilland Canada DHC-8-100 Dash 8
Bombardier Aerospace

About
The DHC-8-100, also known as the Dash 8 Q100, is the original and smallest member of the Dash 8 family. Introduced in 1984, it was designed as a more fuel-efficient replacement for older turboprop aircraft. Seating 37-39 passengers, the Series 100 features two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW120A or PW121A turboprop engines. Known for its reliability and short-field performance, the Q100 proved popular with regional carriers worldwide. From 1996 onward, it incorporated the "Q" (Quiet) noise suppression system. The variant served as the foundation for the successful Dash 8 family. Production ended in 2005 after approximately 299 aircraft were built.
