About

The DHC-6-300-G Twin Otter Classic is the fifth-generation variant of the Twin Otter family, announced at the Paris Air Show in June 2023 and scheduled to enter service in 2025. Building on the proven Series 300 airframe, the Classic features modern Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite providing pilots with a state-of-the-art glass cockpit. Powered by either standard PT6A-27 or optional PT6A-34 engines, the Classic maintains the legendary STOL performance and versatility of the Series 300 while offering improved situational awareness, reduced pilot workload, and enhanced safety through modern avionics. The Classic represents De Havilland Canada's commitment to keeping the Twin Otter relevant for modern operators while preserving the aircraft's proven design. It combines classic Twin Otter ruggedness with 21st-century technology.
