Details

The CASA C-212 Aviocar is the Spanish answer to the Skyvan and the Twin Otter: a boxy, unpressurised high-wing twin with a rear ramp, built for short strips and rough fields and sold to air forces and small operators worldwide. Its certificate runs to ten designations in four marketed series, from the 6,500 kg Series 100 to the 7,700 kg Series 400. The cruise speed, range, ceiling, climb rate, height and take-off distance are EUROCONTROL's figures for the C212 type code rather than a certificate's: a type certificate states limits and weights, not cruise performance, and the source does not distinguish sub-variants.
