The Boeing 737-400 was a stretched variant of the 737-300, featuring a 3-meter fuselage extension to accommodate up to 168 passengers. Introduced in 1988, it featured strengthened wings, upgraded landing gear, and more powerful engines. A total of 486 aircraft were delivered before production ended in 2000.
