Boeing 727-100
Boeing Commercial Airplanes

About
The original 727. Boeing tabulates it at three standards — a basic 161,000 lb ramp weight, an optional one that only raises the landing weight, and an optional 170,000 lb — and this row carries the highest. It seats 106 in a two-class interior, 125 all-tourist, and is certified for 131, which is its exit limit. Early aeroplanes had JT8D-1 engines; the -7 and -9 followed. Cabin width and height are Boeing's own, from Boeing D6-58324, 727 Airplane Characteristics for Airport Planning, section 2.5, page 19: interior trim to trim 140 in (356 cm), 86.3 in (219 cm) floor to ceiling.
