About
The 707-120B is the fan-engined form of the original 707-100 series. The -120 and -220 were delivered with non-fan JT3C and JT4A engines; most of the -120s were later re-engined with JT3D turbofans, which is the standard Boeing tabulates. Its operating empty weight of 57,600 kg is a domestic-configuration figure and, like every empty weight in the source, an average airline value rather than a certified limit. The cruise speed, cruise Mach, range, ceiling and climb rate are EUROCONTROL's figures for the B701 type code rather than a certificate's: a type certificate states limits and weights, not cruise performance, and the source does not distinguish sub-variants. Cabin width and height are Boeing's own, from Boeing D6-58322, 707 Airplane Characteristics for Airport Planning, section 2.5, page 19: interior trim to trim 139.3 in (354 cm), 86.3 in (219.2 cm) floor to ceiling.
