The BAC One-Eleven Series 200 is the initial production variant of the One-Eleven family. First delivered in 1965, it was designed for short-haul routes seating 65-89 passengers in various configurations. Powered by two rear-mounted Rolls-Royce Spey 506-14 turbofans, the Series 200 offered jet speed and comfort on regional routes. Its rear-engine configuration provided a quiet cabin and allowed for easier loading through rear airstairs. The aircraft featured good short-field performance and was popular with British and European carriers. The Series 200 established the One-Eleven as a reliable and economical jet airliner. A total of 58 Series 200 aircraft were built.
