ATR 72-600

The ATR 72-600 is the latest and most advanced variant of the ATR 72 family, entering service in 2010. It features new PW127M engines with improved fuel efficiency, an advanced glass cockpit with five large LCD displays, redesigned cabin with larger overhead bins and LED lighting, and enhanced environmental performance. The -600 offers the best fuel efficiency in its class (up to 40-50% better than regional jets on short routes), reduced emissions, lower noise levels, and improved passenger comfort. Seating 68-78 passengers in a 2-2 configuration, the ATR 72-600 has become the world's best-selling regional turboprop, with hundreds in service worldwide. The variant is particularly dominant on European regional routes, island services, and thin long-haul markets. As the current production flagship, the ATR 72-600 continues to outsell competing regional jets and turboprops by offering superior economics on routes under 500-600 km. The -600 shares maximum commonality with the ATR 42-600, and ATR continues developing improvements including the freighter variant (ATR 72-600F) and short takeoff and landing version.
