The Airbus A350-1000 is the stretched, higher-capacity variant of the A350 XWB family. First flown in November 2016 and entering service with Qatar Airways in February 2018, the A350-1000 is 6.94 meters longer than the -900. It typically seats 369 passengers in a three-class configuration and offers a range of 16,670 km (9,000 nm). Designed to compete directly with the Boeing 777-300ER and 777-9, the A350-1000 offers 25% lower fuel burn per seat. It features more powerful Trent XWB-97 engines and strengthened landing gear. Major customers include Qatar Airways, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, and Singapore Airlines. As of 2025, 100 A350-1000s have been delivered.
