Airbus SAS

The Airbus A350 XWB (Xtra Wide Body) is Airbus's newest and most advanced wide-body aircraft family, representing the future of long-haul aviation. Launched in 2004 (redesigned in 2006) and entering service in 2015, the A350 features extensive use of composite materials (53% of airframe), making it lighter and more fuel-efficient than previous generations. The family includes the A350-900 and A350-1000 variants, both powered exclusively by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. With a wider cabin than the Boeing 787, advanced aerodynamics, and 25% lower operating costs than aircraft it replaces, the A350 competes directly with the Boeing 777 and 787-10. Over 1,000 A350s have been ordered with 600+ delivered as of 2025.
