About
The Airbus A321neo is the stretched variant of the A320neo family and has become phenomenally successful since entering service in 2017. With new-generation engines and sharklets, it offers 20% fuel savings over the A321ceo. The A321neo spawned several variants: the A321LR (Long Range) with additional fuel tanks extending range to 7,400 km, and the revolutionary A321XLR (Xtra Long Range) certified in 2024 with 8,700 km range, enabling transatlantic single-aisle operations. These capabilities have made the A321neo family a game-changer, allowing airlines to open new routes previously requiring widebody aircraft. It has become the best-selling A320neo variant.
