Airbus A310-300
Airbus SAS

About
The A310-300 adds the tail trim tank and wingtip fences, taking usable fuel from 55,100 litres to 61,090 and take-off weight from 144 to 164 tonnes. That is what turned a short-haul widebody into a transatlantic one, and it was among the first twinjets to fly the Atlantic on ETOPS. It seats 243 in a single class, six more than the -200 in the same fuselage. Cruise speed, range, ceiling and climb rate are EUROCONTROL's figures for the A310 type code rather than a certificate's: a type certificate states limits and weights, not cruise performance, and the source does not distinguish sub-variants.
