About
An unpressurised twin built to replace the DC-3, and the first of the postwar American short-haul airliners to be certified. A wing failure grounded the fleet in 1948 and the pressurised 4-0-4 replaced it. No type certificate for it is reachable — the FAA's regulatory system is closed to us and EASA never held the type — so this entry carries its history but none of the certified weights the rest of the library is built on.
