About

The Trislander is an Islander stretched to seventeen seats with a third engine mounted on the fin, which is a stranger solution than it sounds — it needed no new wing and no new certification basis for asymmetric flight. It has its own type certificate, IM.A.389. The cruise speed, range, ceiling, climb rate, wingspan, length, height and take-off distance are EUROCONTROL's figures for the BN2T type code rather than a certificate's: a type certificate states limits and weights, not cruise performance, and the source does not distinguish sub-variants.
