About
The British Aerospace Jetstream 41 is a turboprop-powered regional airliner and corporate transport aircraft. A stretched development of the Jetstream 31, the J41 was designed to compete with 30-seat aircraft like the Embraer Brasilia, Dornier 328, and Saab 340. First flown in 1991 and entering service in 1992, it features a 4.9-meter fuselage stretch, more powerful AlliedSignal TPE331 engines, and modern avionics. Seating 29 passengers in a comfortable two-by-one configuration, the Jetstream 41 offered excellent short-field performance and reliability. Known for its distinctive long, slender fuselage and T-tail, the J41 found success with regional carriers and corporate operators. A total of 100 aircraft were produced before manufacturing ended in 1997.
