British Aerospace BAe 146-200
British Aerospace

About
The BAe 146-200 is a stretched variant of the 146-100, featuring a 2.4-meter fuselage extension to accommodate 85-112 passengers. Introduced in 1982, it became the most popular member of the BAe 146 family. Like its smaller sibling, the 146-200 is powered by four ALF 502R-5 turbofans and retains excellent short-field performance and quiet operation. The additional length provided improved economics per seat while maintaining the type's signature capabilities including operation from challenging airports. Airlines valued its versatility for both mainline regional routes and specialty services to restricted airports. The 146-200 served as the basis for the later Avro RJ85.
