About

The Boeing 777-9 is the larger variant of the next-generation 777X family, representing the future of wide-body twin-engine aviation. With a length over 76 meters, it will be the world's longest commercial airliner. The 777-9 features revolutionary folding wingtips (a first for commercial aviation), advanced composite wings, and the massive GE9X engines—the world's largest and most powerful jet engines with 134-inch fan diameter. It will seat approximately 426 passengers and fly 7,285 nautical miles with 10% better fuel efficiency than the A350-1000. Certification is expected in 2026-2027 with first deliveries to follow. Boeing has built 26 777-9 aircraft as of 2025 awaiting certification.
