About

The turbine An-2: the same single-engine biplane, re-engined with a TVD-20-01 turboprop in place of the ASh-62 radial, and converted from existing airframes rather than built new. Interstate Aviation Committee type certificate СТ 191-Ан-3Т gives a maximum take-off mass of 5,800 kg, a maximum landing mass of 5,800 kg — the same figure — a maximum ramp mass of 5,820 kg, a maximum zero-fuel mass of 5,650 kg and a maximum payload of 1,800 kg. The single engine delivers 1,375 shaft horsepower for take-off, limited to five minutes, and 1,175 shp continuously, turning a three-blade reversible AV-17 propeller. Two pilots carry up to four passengers in the passenger-cargo configuration, with the cargo allowance falling from 1,400 kg with two aboard to 900 kg with four. The maximum operating altitude is 3,900 m and the maximum operating speed 255 km/h indicated.
