Antonov An-24

Antonov

About

The twin-turboprop regional airliner built in greater numbers than any other Soviet passenger aeroplane, and the machine the An-140 was later designed to replace. The Interstate Aviation Committee noise register lists the An-24 and An-24RV on certificate № 40 of 19 January 1994 with Ivchenko AI-24T engines — or AI-24 second series — driving AV-72T or AV-72 propellers, a distinction most references lose. Its certified masses are not published anywhere reachable: the type certificate has lapsed and no archive of it exists.
