About
The Airbus A320neo (new engine option) represents the next generation of the A320 family, launched in 2010 and entering service in 2016. Featuring new CFM LEAP-1A or Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM geared turbofan engines and distinctive sharklet wingtip devices, the A320neo delivers 20% fuel savings and 50% noise reduction compared to the original A320ceo. It also features improved cabin with larger overhead bins. With over 7,200 neos delivered as of 2025 and thousands more on order, the A320neo has become the fastest-selling commercial aircraft program in history. It competes directly with the Boeing 737 MAX and continues to dominate the single-aisle market.
