The Airbus A318 is the shortest member of the A320 family, often nicknamed the "Baby Bus." Launched in 1999 and entering service in 2003, the A318 was designed to compete in the 100-seat market segment. Despite its technical capabilities, the A318 was the least successful variant with only 80 aircraft delivered. Its steep-approach capability allowed it to operate from challenging airports like London City. The A318 featured PW6000 or CFM56-5 engines and could seat 107-132 passengers. Production ended in 2013 due to limited market demand, with airlines preferring the larger A319.
