Boeing Commercial Airplanes

The Boeing 757 is a mid-size, narrow-body twin-engine jet airliner that was designed and built by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Introduced in 1983, the 757 was designed as a more modern and fuel-efficient replacement for the 727. Known for its exceptional performance in hot-and-high conditions and its ability to operate transatlantic routes, the 757 became one of the most versatile aircraft in its class. The type was produced in two fuselage lengths: the 757-200 and the stretched 757-300. The 757 shares a common type rating with the Boeing 767, reducing pilot training costs. Production ended in 2004 after 1,050 aircraft were built, but the type remains highly regarded and popular with cargo operators.
